History

People have been worshipping in Brookenby for many years even before it got its name it has now, as before it was the former RAF base of Binbrook and Brookenby was the RAF houses that were built to house the crews and their families . The Church as it is situated now has been lovingly restored out of the former Sgts Mess. Two people who had a lot of input into the work were Margaret and John Toyne who were readers of the Walesby Group who have now sadly left for pastures new. Margaret worked hard with funding for the floor and chairs, where as John would put many hours in hard labour with his knowledge of building work to get St Michaels as it is today.
